Go down into the Subway thats straight across from Rivet City (Anacotsa Crossing or something like that), you come out in Seward Square from there make your way to the Capital Building go through the building to come out on The Mall then head through there to where National Archives is. Just follow the dotted line and marker and shouldn't get lost.

Sadly, in order to get to National Archives you must travel through a battlefield filled with supermutant units. It would be a good idea to ignore the monsters and make a run for it. I'm sure that you won't have any major problems finding the monument (screen). Use the stairs and open the main door to get to the ground floor of National Archives.

i been trying so hard now to find the elevator key but i just dont know where it is. i already completed that "stealing the declaration of independence" side mission and gave that robot ink so that he could copy the declaration but i cant find the key for the first elevator you encounter before entering to meet that "Founding father" robot.
